The Expo is scheduled to take place March 3rd at the University in Louisville, Kentucky; and supports a theme of "Engineering in Motion: Land, Sea, Air and Space."
The Expo was created in order to promote and celebrate the engineering profession to the general public and to promote engineering and research to practicing engineers and students, at all levels of education. Cash awards are given to the winners and are highlighted at the annual Engineer's Ball.
Retired Lt. Colonel from the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Marshall founded Marshall Communications Corporation in 1991 and is head of his own systems engineering and integration company. He firmly promotes and encourages higher education in the engineering field. He adds, "As the younger generation embraces and enhances the science of engineering, they will definitely make a difference in the direction of the future of technology. They are the ones who will apply their creativity to the building blocks of engineering and move technology to the next level. I'm very optimist that the engineering students of today are experiencing bigger and brighter aspirations - as proven here at the Engineering Expo." Mr. Marshall will discuss how starting his own Company as an Consultant and applying his engineering expertise in facilitating a number Government Programs, still in operation today. How being on the forefront of technology has helped his Company gain notoriety within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD Agencies as a premiere provider of engineering and network systems integration services. Marshall Communications is recognized as providing engineering solutions and deploying new state-of-the art, standards-based technology, even in today's battlespace, in Iraq, where it is contributing to DoD initiatives and efforts overseas.
